We’ve been quiet for a while but only because we’ve had our noses buried in projects ranging from branding beverage companies to physical therapy organizations. Check out all of our updated work here.
Our friend and UX guru, Tamara Olson, wrote a great blog on what UX actually is. By comparing the planning of a website to the planning of a remodel, she completely nails the importance of considering the users’ experience when building a site. When talking about the UX designer, Tamara writes, “is able to assume another’s vista through empathy and research, and channel her created personas to design a user flow and experience that addresses key user concerns.” Well said. Check it out here.
Hurley McKenna & Mertz (HM&M) is a law firm that represents clients who have been hurt due to medical negligence and other serious personal injuries. They believe that “every case where the victim gets justice makes the world a safer place by encouraging safe designs and practices.” We first met Chris Hurley through our friends at Sprout Films and we were instantly impressed with his firm’s commitment to helping those who have been wronged stand up for their rights against any adversary.
At Six Pony Hitch, we exist to help people who do good do better. One of our favorite organizations doing good in Missoula is Missoula Aging Services (MAS). Their mission is to promote the independence, dignity and health of older adults and those who care for them. They do this with passion, grace, and a fierce dedication to our community on every level. We can’t say enough about this great organization. We have been lucky enough to work with MAS on a full rebranding including logo, tagline, annual reports, newsletter, email template—you name it. But now we are even prouder to announce the launching of the new website for MAS.
One of the opportunities we had working with MAS, was to learn how to use the power of the Internet to reach an older audience. We worked with the organization to learn about colors, type sizes and styles, and special functionality that help users of all ages better enjoy their experience. We also made the site using responsive design so that people on smart phones or tablets will have the same great user experience as those viewing it on their desktops.
So please take a look at the site, learn more about Missoula Aging Services, and spread the word about the great work that they do.
Hospice of Missoula is an amazing community-based organization that is committed to providing excellent end-of-life care. After working with them on a comprehensive Brand Diagnostic, we updated their logo and created a brand new website. Our goal was to build a site that really reflects their commitment of helping people live life to the fullest. Hospice of Missoula provides such amazing care to those living with illness and their families but also provides community support and education about death and dying. The site reflects this by providing information, resources, a full events calendar, news, and opportunities to donate and volunteer. We are grateful to Hospice of Missoula for the good work that they do in our community and proud to show off the new site.
Most days we feel lucky that we get to do such great work for such great clients. But some days we feel extraordinarily grateful that we get to help make a difference in our world and in, particular, in our community. Today we are so very proud and excited to announce the launch of the new website for the Humane Society of Western Montana (HSWM).
A few months ago, we blogged about the importance of sticking with one client for really impactful pro bono work. This policy allowed us to concentrate our efforts for the Humane Society and build them this big, robust site. It’s full of helpful resources and features the Meet Your MatchTM program, which helps you find the next purrfect addition to your household.
The new website is built on ExpressionEngine so it’s super easy for the staff at HSWM to update and it uses responsive technology so that anyone on any browser or device will get a custom viewing experience. Want to check out available cats on your phone? Tweet a dog from your iPad? Send a message about a cute rabbit to all your friends on Facebook? Now you can.
We are so amazed at the work that’s being done by HSWM. With an average adoption rate of 98% and a host of innovative programs and policies, they are leading the charge to end pet homelessness in the Northwest. We are proud to help them further their commitment to saving every animal, every time.
